Privacy Policy

The Black Friday & Beyond Deal Board ("the site", "we", "us") is operated by Qutica Solutions at https://blackfridayandbeyond.quticasolutions.com. This policy explains what information the site handles when you use it and who else receives it. In short: we have no accounts, no advertising and no analytics, we set no cookies, and we do not sell or share your information.

How the information on this site is produced. The deals, prices, discounts, sale dates and Deal Desk answers on the Black Friday & Beyond Deal Board are gathered from public sources and written up automatically using artificial intelligence: Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic. Scheduled AI tasks search and read retailer websites and deal news outlets several times a day, then update the site. These updates are not reviewed by a person one by one before they appear.

The AI gathers and summarizes public deal information. The only things you type that reach it are Deal Desk questions, described below.

Information you enter

• Filters, searches and ZIP code. Your searches, filters and ZIP code are handled inside your own browser to filter the list. They are not sent to us. When you follow a "Stores near" link, your ZIP code is sent to Google Maps, which opens in a new tab under Google's own privacy policy.
• Deal Desk questions. When you send a question, the question and the website you name are sent to our server on Cloudflare and saved in our public GitHub repository, where our AI deal assistant (Claude, by Anthropic) reads them, researches them on the web and publishes the answer on the site. Questions and answers are public, so don't include your name, email address or other personal details. We don't store your IP address with your question. To prevent abuse, our server keeps a count of questions per internet connection for up to one day.
• Daily deals email. If you sign up, we store your email address and, if you choose, the filters you want the email to follow. We keep them in a private database on Cloudflare and send the emails through Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online) from dealboard@quticasolutions.com, so Microsoft processes your address to deliver them. We first send a confirmation email; if you don't confirm within 7 days, your sign-up is deleted automatically. We use your address only to send the email you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing deletes your address right away. To prevent abuse, the sign-up form keeps a count of sign-ups per internet connection for up to one hour.

Information stored on your device

The site remembers a few settings in your browser's local storage so they are still there next time: your filters, sort order and ZIP code, the Deal Desk questions you sent from this device, and, if you subscribed, the email address you subscribed with. These stay on your device, are not sent to us, and are not cookies. You can remove them at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings.

Services that load with the page

Like most websites, the page is delivered by, and loads parts from, other companies. Each receives your IP address and basic browser information when the page loads, and handles it under its own privacy policy:

• Cloudflare hosts the site, our small server and the email subscriber list.
• GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) serves the deal data file, which the page re-checks about every 30 minutes while it is open, and stores Deal Desk questions.
• Anthropic (Claude) reads Deal Desk questions to answer them.
• Microsoft (Microsoft 365 / Exchange Online) sends the daily emails, only if you subscribe.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces.

Links on the site take you to retailer websites, deal news articles and Google Maps, which have their own privacy policies. We are not affiliated with any retailer and do not use affiliate or tracking links.

What we do not do

• We do not use cookies, analytics, advertising or tracking pixels.
• We do not sell, rent or share your information for marketing.
• We do not keep logs of your searches or filters.

Children

The site is meant for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has signed up for the daily email, contact us and we will delete the address.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we keep the information we handle to a minimum.

Your choices

You can use every part of the site without entering an email address. You can unsubscribe at any time, clear stored settings in your browser, and ask us to delete any email address we hold for you or any Deal Desk question you sent.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed. Significant changes will be noted on the site.
